A Âé¶¹´«Ã½ man has multiple felony charges after a traffic stop Sunday, June 1.
Tyler Dwayne South, 34, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, and a probation violation, along with misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana less than half an ounce, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a release from the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges came after South was pulled over driving a Jeep Cherokee with a fake license plate, the sheriff’s office said.
South, the driver, had an outstanding order for his arrest from Mitchell County for failing to appear, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies searched the car and found six guns, ammunition, about 16 grams of fentanyl, about 1 gram of methamphetamine, alprazolam tablets, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, the sheriff’s office said. One of the guns had been reported stolen.
South was booked at the Burke County Jail under a total $301,000 secured bond, the sheriff’s office said. He’s due back in court July 16.
