Two Âé¶¹´«Ã½ men were charged Thursday in connection to a Sunday shooting in Catawba County. Eleven people were injured in the shooting and one was killed.
Izaiah Kane Mitchell, 18, of Morganton, and Zachary Micheal Bates, 22, of Morganton, were each charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder on Thursday, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
A total of five people are charged directly with the shooting as of 4 p.m. on Thursday. Three of the five men are still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

The charges stem from a mass shooting that happened at a party along Walnut Acres Drive on Sunday in the Mountain View area.Â
The three others are charged with one count each of attempted first-degree murder are 20-year-old Garon Killian, of Lenoir, 20-year-old Toland Huff Jr., of Hickory, and 19-year-old Ke’andre Mack, of Hickory.
Killian was arrested Tuesday. Bates was arrested Thursday.
Mitchell, Mack and Huff are still wanted, the sheriff’s office said.
Earlier Thursday, Zoe Makenna Braswell, 18, was charged with one count of accessory after the fact to attempted first-degree murder, the sheriff’s office said. She was arrested Thursday.
Two people the sheriff’s office says planned and promoted the party were also charged due to underage drinking at the event, the sheriff’s office said. Â
Patrick Lee Tolbert, 22, of Hickory, and Raekwon Malik Craig, 21, of Taylorsville, are each both with three counts of aiding and abetting a person under 21 years of age by allowing the possession of alcoholic beverages.
All six individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
