Below are the pets of the week at Burke County Animal Services.
Scrabble: This lady is over 1 year old and spayed. She is one of our longer cat residents here and we have no idea why. She is super sweet and loves to play and be cuddled. She is doing well around other animals, and she is adorable.
K: This sweet girl is about 1-2 years old and spayed. She only has a letter name because she came from a large property with a number of cats. She is doing well with other animals and loves to be cuddled and played with. It also helps that she is absolutely gorgeous.
C3: This sweet lady is about 3-4 years old. Our Dogs of the Week this week came from a property where we received several dogs, hence their names being letters and numbers. These guys are shy at first, but love to be held and cuddled. They are doing well around other animals, and would love a patient and calm home for them to be able to blossom in.
B2: This guy is a younger member of the property at about 4 months old. He is also pretty shy at first, but loves to be held and cuddled. He is learning how to be a dog and does love toys. A quiet and patient home for him would also be ideal.
All adoptions include up-to-date vaccines, preventatives, a spay or neuter, and dogs will be heartworm tested.
Animal Services is in need of food donations for its community pet food bank, which goes to help pets of those in need. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to Burke County Animal Services at 425 Kirksey Drive, Morganton, NC 28655.
Those in need of pet food can stop by Animal Services and fill out a one-time informational form and let them know what you need.
