The reason for the closures and whether the closures are permanent are unclear.
The Subway website lists the locations at 100 E. Fleming Drive, 107 Independence Blvd. and 1255-A Burkemont Ave., Space 22, as closed as of July 3.
The stores closed in late June. The lights are off and just a few employees have been seen in the past few weeks.
The three Âé¶¹´«Ã½ locations are owned by Parish Alpha LLC and CA Parish Subs LLC, according to the state.
Both limited liability companies are owned by William Parish, according to filings with the state.
Attempts to reach Parish or Subway corporate were unsuccessful.
Angela Buchanan owned and operated the Subways in Âé¶¹´«Ã½ for 35 years until she sold them to Parish in early 2022, she said. Buchanan said she remains deeply grateful for the opportunity Burke County provided her to grow a successful business and life here.

While she sold the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ locations, Buchanan still owns the Subway location in Rutherford College at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and Malcolm Boulevard. That location remains open and thriving and not experiencing any operational issues, she said.
Buchanan said all Subway stores are individually owned and operated.
