And that quest begins in earnest as Week 1 kicks off with a full slate of games, highlighted by No. 1 Georgia hosting No. 14 Clemson in Atlanta.

Week 1 of the 2024 college football season kicks off with a biggin’.
No. 1 Georgia, which is also the , will face off against No. 14 Clemson in Atlanta at noon Saturday.
While this one looks good on paper, especially being two top-15 teams squaring off to start the season, it might not be that close on the Mercedes-Benz Stadium turf. Georgia is a near-two-touchdown favorite for a reason.
Clemson went 9-4 last season, which disappointed a lot of the fanbase. Which, to be honest, is just a sign that your program has leveled up. When nine wins isn’t good enough, that’s saying something about expectations – and the previous success of a program that Dabo Swinney has built into a perennial power.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, they’ll face another power program in top-ranked Georgia, which has won two of the last three national championships and has only lost two games in three seasons.
For Clemson to have success, it’ll need returning starting quarterback Cade Klubnik to be near perfect against Kirby Smart’s always-superior Georgia defense.
On offense, the Bulldogs are just as scary with  under center.
Last season, in his first as a starter, Beck threw for nearly 4,000 yards, while tossing 24 touchdowns. And while he’ll miss his star tight end Brock Bowers, Beck does have six other returning offensive starters in his huddle.
And if all that’s not enough, playing in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is an advantage for the Bulldogs, since it’s where they’ve had so much success in the SEC title game over the past few years.
Bulldogs win and cover, while the game also goes over the 49.5-point total.
